Neue Intelligenz (New Intelligence) is a participatory and transient work that invites everyone to leave individual traces in the form of the body’s own bacteria. In the glass tank filled with test tubes, the vegetable gelatine agar agar becomes the nutrient medium. Wadding pads are used to take samples from bacteria-rich areas, such as the forehead, from visitors and transfer them to the medium. During the exhibition period, the surface will change visibly due to bacterial growth and climatic conditions. How to face chance. ENVIRONMENTS MUST BE WALKED INTO!
Neue Intelligenz ist eine partizipatorische und vergängliche Arbeit, die jeden einlädt individuelle Spuren in Form von körpereigenen Bakterien zu hinterlassen. Die pflanzliche Gelatine Agar Agar wird in dem mit Reagenzgläsern gefüllten Glastank zum Nährmedium. Mit Wattepads werden von bakterienreichen Stellen, wie z.B. der Stirn, Proben von Besuchern genommen und auf das Medium übertragen. Während des Ausstellungszeitraums wird sich die Oberfläche sichtbar durch das Bakterienwachstum und die klimatischen Raumbedingungen verändern. Das Wie stellt sich dem Zufall. Der Veränderungsprozess und das Züchtungsergebnis wird dokumentiert, und ist auf der Webseite im Blog zu verfolgen.
